Partecipants' quotes
Friendship
Friendship is
like a star
shining bright
in the infinity
Voluntary service
Voluntary work:
to devote one’s time
to help the needy
Being a volunteer worker
Makes you a better person
Teaches you how to share
Your happiness with others
Your time as a gift
Your work as a mission
Your value in human dignity
Your hope in a smile
That’s the essence of voluntary service!
The joy of love
Hand in hand
The well-being of others
The meaning of a true life
What we have done for ourselves
is transient
What we have done for mankind
Is immortal
Equality
Human beings are all equal:
the same life told in thousands different ways
The different look is
what strikes those
who do not understand the value
of different ways of thinking.
Common people regard diversity
As an obstacle, yet it could be
An opportunity
Hair, complexion, appearance
Different stories
But suddenly an external eye
Catches the essence of our being alive.
Do not be afraid of the unknown,
of something different from you,
fear gives birth to prejudice and stereotypes
The true wisdom is
To accept differences
To welcome what is
Good and positive
Mutual respect between different cultures:
Muslims, Catholics, Orthodoxes
All inhabitants of Sarajevo
The first step
to get to know a person is
to look for our common nature
The tears of a human being,
No matter if red, yellow, brown, or white,
Are all the same
Pesariis:
a week of full social integration
where my handicap seemed
misteriously disappeared
Same rights and opportunities
For a fair and just society
Lawfulness
Laws are like spider webs:
the powerful weave them
while the weak ones get trapped
Human errors and horrors
Are deleted by the mighty voice
of lawfulness
To do one’s duty
Is to do the right thing
Let’s make the world
A better place to live in
You are the change
You want to see in the world
Solidarity
Alone we can do so little
Together we can do so much
What is the essence of life?
To serve others and to do good
The best way to fight racism
is with solidarity
Immigration
We have learnt
To fly like birds
To swim like fish
But we lack the simple art
Of living in brotherhood
Immigration is wealth
The living together
Of different cultures is health
Let’s go beyond fear and prejudice!
